DENVER, CO – [April 22, 2026] – Blue West Capital is pleased to announce the successful sale-leaseback of Curious Theatre Company, a 9,442-square-foot performing arts center located at 1080 North Acoma Street in Denver’s highly sought-after Golden Triangle neighborhood. The property sold for $1,900,000.
David Dobek and Grace Newman of Blue West Capital represented the seller, Curious Theatre Company. The buyer was a non-profit organization associated with real estate executive David Spira and Spira Giving Colorado. The transaction was not part of a 1031 exchange.
Curious Theatre Company has performed at the property for over 30 years, and the sale-leaseback provided financial stability through the proceeds while allowing the theatre to continue operating in the space for years to come.
The property attracted strong interest from a broad buyer pool, including value-add investors, developers, and owner-users. The outcome represents a win for all parties—the buyer, the seller, and the neighborhood, which retains a long-standing cultural amenity.
